Roadmaster 12 Volt Outlet Kit Installation - 2010 Honda CR-V- Video
Today on our 2010 Honda CRV we'll be taking a look at installing the 20 amp 12 volt out-leg kit, part number RM-9332. Now we have our 12 volt power ready to use whenever we need it for our auxiliary braking system for our towed vehicle. Now when we don't have any use you can put it up here in the holder or we can also place it down back underneath the back side of the stream panel making sure that it doesn't fall down while we're driving. On one end we're going to have our fuse and spade connector and on the other end we're going to have to make ground around that ring terminal there. Both of the pieces that we're going to need are going to be included in the kit. So right now we're going to find a fuse that has power going through it so we can run our constant power towards our 12 volt circuit. So go up underneath the dash and locate that fuse panel that's sitting right here right above this kick panel on the side. Now we're just going to locate a fuse, it gives us the ability to draw power when our key is not in the ignition. more

Today, on 2015 Jeep Cherokee, we're going to show you 12-volt outlet kit from road-master, part number RM-9332. Now this is good for a variety of applications. In this case, this vehicle need a future upgrade to a supplemental braking system that requires it's own power supply from the battery. With this part number this is what you get. You get the wire horse, with the outlet for your 12-volt accessories, and the other end that goes to your ground, and your fuse holder right here. This comes with small self tap screw for the ground, and this is also a fuse tap. For a lot of instances, you actually tap into the fuse box to get power from. Basically, that connects up to circuit as power constantly with the key on or off. Now, on our install we are actually going to run this straight to the battery. more

Wagan 12V Power Accessories - Power Inverter - WC2600 Review- Video
Today, we're going to review part number WC2600, this is the Wagan Elite 200 Watt PRO Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter with the USB Power Port. Now, an inverter is designed to convert DC power to AC power for a wide range of AC-powered appliances. This Wagan inverter is powered from a 12 volt DC and will continuously deliver 200 watts and even 400 watts momentary peak AC power at 120 volts, 60 Hertz. The surge capability of the 400 watts allows this inverter to start even more difficult motorized appliances. Now, this Wagan inverter operates at a high efficiency up to 90%, and that result in a long run time and extended battery life compared to other inverters with this level of power output. Now, most vehicle accessory sockets that are controlled through a vehicle's ignition switch are fused at 15 amps, and therefore this limits the inverter output to about 180 watts. This inverter here has an external fuse of 25 amps and that switch will allow us to do the higher 200 watts. Now, this is also a pure sine wave inverter, and it delivers a pure sine wave AC power which is identical to that of commercial power. You can use this inverter to power AC appliances in your vehicle or off-grid backup power systems. more

Today we're going to review part number 02294. This is the Wagon 1000 Watt AC Inverter, with the 3 AC outlets, and this has a 2500 watt peak power. This will convert to 12-volt DC power to a 115-volt AC power. It also includes these 2 36" long six-gauge wires; one's red, one's black, and they have the ring connectors on each end to connect directly to your battery. Basically what you would do is take these wires right here, just unscrew these knobs, connect your wire to that. The other ring connector would connect directly to the battery. Again, those wires are about 36" in length. Once you install this, this will allow for operation and charging of electronics in your vehicle. Again, it has the 3 household AC outlets. more

Roadmaster 12 Volt Outlet Kit Installation - 2013 Ford Focus- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Focus we'll be installing the Roadmaster 12-volt outlet kit, part number RM-9332. Now for our application we're adding a 12-volt outlet for a supplemental braking system so we're going to mount it near the kick panel on the driver side. Now with our additional 12-volt outlet, whether using it for your supplemental braking system or you could plug in phone charger, GPS, or really any 12-volt operated device up to 20 amps, such as a light. Here we have our 12-volt outlet and our ground and positive cables. We're going to go ahead and route them over an impact bar next to the interior light and then towards the firewall. Now once I have it in position I'm going to go ahead and secure it with a zip tie. I'm going to cut off the excess from the zip tie to get it out of the way and clean up my install look. more

Optronics 12 Volt DC Outlet Installation - 2013 Ram 1500- Video
Today on our 2013 Ram 1500 we'll be installing the Optronics 12-volt DC outlet, part number A-101M. We'll be using the Tow Ready in-line fuse holder, part number 18167-1. To extend the length of the wiring from our 12-volt socket we're going to use Deka 16-gauge wire, part number DW02359-1, and the Deka black power wire, part number 16-1-1. Connecting the extra length of wire to the pigtails from our 12-volt supply we'll use the Deka 16-gauge butt connectors, part number 05731-5. Here's our new Optronics 12-volt power supply. We're going to mount the 12-volt power supply here on the driver side so that it's accessible per an added supplemental braking system. Now to connect it we'll need to make the wires longer so that we can route them directly to the battery for power and ground. more

Today on our 1998 Freightliner Motorhome, we're going to be installing the Obtronics 12-volt DC outlet, part number A-101M. Next, we'll go through the operation of our new 12-volt supply. With all our connections made, we can go ahead and check our new outlet. First, we'll open it up, plug in our 12-volt source, turn the ignition key on, and we have power. To make our electrical connections for power and ground, we're going to utilize some pre-existing pigtail for power. Today on our 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee we'll be installing the Roadmaster 12V Outlet Kit, part number RM-9332. Our 12V kit will ultimately get installed and secured to the battery. For this application, the battery is located under the passenger seat. If we lift up on the battery cover to get to the back half of the battery, we're going to go ahead and move the seat all the way forward and towards the dash. Release the cover and set it aside. You can see we've now exposed the battery. We're going to go ahead and open up the console, the lower portion of our console here. We can remove the rubber liner. more

Wagan 80 Watt Power Inverter Review- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the Wagan Tech Smart AC Power Inverter part number WC2107-6. This power inverter is designed to plug in to a standard 12 volt outlet and is going to provide us with a 210 volt AC power. Depending on your power or your wattage needs, we have several to choose from and this configuration with an outlet and a USB, we can choose between an 80 watt, a 120 watt all the way up to a 210 watt. The 120 watt does have a brother and includes the plug in, a USB and also a small port that you can plug in a headphone cord from your phone to transfer that right in to your radio if you're not already set up with the blue tooth or an auxiliary port. This is also available in a 100 watt. It's going to have your plug in, a USB and the addition of a regular style 12 volt plug in as we're using here. It couldn't be easier to operate this series of power inverters, we're going to slide right in as we do, we've got socket locks located on each side that's really going to help us to maintain that secure fit in there. more

Today in this 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 crew cab we're going to install part number RM-9332. This is a Roadmaster 12 Volt Outlet Kit ready for 20 amps. To help us install this part we're also going to use a couple other part numbers. We'll be using snap bushing part number SWC8055. We're going to need to extend our wires as well, so we'll be using part number 12-2-1 the jacketed two wire brake wire in 12 gauge. Now the first thing we need to do is go ahead and get access from the inside to the outside. To do that we're going to go ahead and drill a hole behind our carpet here or just above where our parking brake cable goes through the body. more

All right, today in a 2014 Honda CR-V, we're going to install part number RM-9332. This is 12-O outlet kit, ready for 20 amps. Right now outlet kit is designed to work with the fuse panel. In this case we're going to use a fuse that's underneath the dash. If you're in a vehicle set up to be pulled behind an RV, we'll go ahead and look for a fuse. Now in this case, our key will be in the first notch when you turn it. So, we'll go ahead and use a fuse. In this case, we're going to test fuse number 14, which is easy to get to, and it's just your seat heaters. more

The power wire will get run over to the passengers side, where we can install it into the fuse box, and the ground can stay here on the drivers side. Hopkins 12V Power Accessories - Fan - SP571204 Review- Video
Today we're reviewing part number SP571204, this is from Hopkins. It's a Personal Tower Fan and it fits any standard cup holder in your vehicle. It operates simply by plugging this into your auxiliary power outlet, what we used to call a cigarette lighter. Here is your on and off switch and you'll notice that the louvers do adjust up and down. This is a great way to cool you off a little faster while you're waiting for your air conditioner to cool off. It also has a good way to get extra air to the rear seat passenger who sometimes don't get enough air flow from your air conditioning system. more

WagenTech Power Inverter Installation - 2011 Honda Pilot- Video
Today on this 2011 Honda Pilot were going to install Wagan Techs Power Inventer, part number 02294. Now the wiring that comes with the inverter is not really long enough to reach up to the battery, so were going to use an additional kit to supply the necessary components and were actually using part number SW1520 from Superwinch, this here auxiliary wire harness. First thing were going to do is go ahead and show where were going to place our inverter. Were actually going to place underneath the passenger side seat. Now you can see how it sits a little bit crooked in there and theres a cut in the carpet already. So what were going to do is push it up against that one side of the carpet cut and we go to other side to make another cut where it will sit flat. more
